Being a passionate physicist and illustrator, Wiebke Drenckhan is convinced that both, art and science, can enrich each other in a unique way. She therefore enjoys to come up with projects which bring together these two universes and has now set up an artists’ residence in the Charles Sadron Institute – where she conducts her research. Her goal: make researchers interact with designers to lead both of them to imagine new paths and, at the end of these encounters, create an interactive object symbolising the art of research. Unveiled at the Science Fair in October 2017, it will undoubtedly pursue its adventure in form of a game for all thanks to the creativity of Wiebke, also called “Miss Foam”. Where does this nickname come from? Soap foams on your evening bath or your evening beer, foams which cushion your bed or isolate your home … they have no secret for her!
