It will enable the researcher from the Institut de Science et d\u2019Ing\u00e9nierie Supramol\u00e9culaires to continue his research into a new, metabolism-driven approach to prebiotic chemistry. The aim is to gain an in-depth understanding of how and why the biochemistry of life emerged, and to explain how it functions now, based on the fundamental principles of catalysis and organic chemistry.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-9eb7b5b elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"9eb7b5b\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-b699499\" data-id=\"b699499\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b8a32b4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b8a32b4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div><article id=\"c137378\"><div><div>The Consolidator Grant is intended for young researchers, seven to twelve years after obtaining their doctorate. This year, it was awarded to 327 researchers of 39 nationalities for research projects carried out in 23 different countries. Created in 2007, the European Research Council has made it possible to fund nearly 7 000 projects in ten years, after a strict selection process in which only 11% of the candidate projects are successful. Every year, the ERC awards four types of individual research grants for a period of 5 years (except for the Proof of Concept grant). The sums awarded range from EUR 1.5 million to 3.5 million per researcher<\/div><\/div><\/article><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b460743 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b460743\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-size: 28px;\">Did you know?<\/span><\/p><p>Joseph Moran is the first researcher carrying out his research in France, named &#8220;Talented Twelve&#8221; in 2018, a group of young, rising stars in chemistry selected by Chemical &amp; Engineering News (C&amp;EN) magazine.
