Concept grant has been awarded to <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Prof. Paolo Samor\u00ec<\/span> for his Graphene and related materials membranes for efficient removal of toxic cations from water research project.<\/p><p>The GRAPHENE project will develop membranes made from graphene and related materials to effectively purify water by eliminating toxic pollutants such as ions, particles, and micro-organisms.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-90389f6\" data-id=\"90389f6\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Nanoparticles that show cancer markers<\/h3><p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Dr. Andrey Klymchenko<\/span>, leader of an ERC Consolidator BrightSens project, has obtained an ERC Proof of Concept grant for an AmpliFISH project entitled, Ultra-bright probes for amplified fluorescence in-situ hybridisation for cancer diagnosis.<\/p><p>The AmpliFISH project aims to develop ultra-bright fluorescent nanoparticles for visualising target nucleic acids (RNA and DNA) inside cells with single-molecule sensitivity.
