The University of Strasbourg has been designated a “University Innovation Hub”

Internationally recognized for the quality of its research and its ability to apply it, the University of Strasbourg has even been ranked ^{the top} university in Europe for its impact on innovation by the latest Nature Index Innovation*. With a high-performing commercialization unit and a longstanding commitment to connecting academic laboratories with the socio-economic world, the University of Strasbourg has become a model for innovation in France. This achievement did not go unnoticed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, which in November 2021 designated the University of Strasbourg as University Innovation Hub (PUI).

This designation, awarded to only five French universities, comes witha budget of 1 M€ that will be used to raise awareness and train students in entrepreneurship, as well as to provide high-level support for innovative projects led by students, faculty members, or researchers. The goal is also to strengthen public-private relationships and partnerships.
