Who are we?

The Jean-Marie Lehn Foundation collects donations on behalf of its founders – the University of Strasbourg and the CNRS – and their components in the fields of research and education (faculties, institutes, schools, laboratories, centers, etc.). It is recognized as being of public utility and provides you with a tax receipt to deduct a portion of your donations from your taxes.

General Conditions for Donations to the Foundation:

The University of Strasbourg offers you the opportunity to support a wide variety of projects through the Jean-Marie Lehn Foundation. Thus, you can choose the project(s) that matter most to you.

However, to ensure that your donation will have a significant impact, the Foundation for Chemical Research reserves the right to make all necessary decisions in case of unforeseen circumstances regarding the allocation of your donation.

A 12% deduction is made from each donation: 4% goes to management fees and 8% to a support fund for the Strasbourg chemistry research hub. The Foundation’s audited annual accounts are available on the website of the Official Journal of the French Republic at journal-officiel.gouv.fr/association.

Use of Collected Personal Data

The information collected on this site is stored in a computerized file for administrative and legal purposes (issuing tax receipts for justification to tax authorities), and for recognizing and retaining our donors.

When you fill out a donation or contact form on this site, you create a temporary account, and a temporary cookie is created to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain personal data and will be automatically deleted when you close your browser.

Statistics and audience measurements are possible from this site. However, these are completely anonymous.

Use and Transmission of Your Personal Data

Data Storage Durations

By filling out a donation or contact form on this site, you create a temporary account.

Data is stored on this site for a maximum of one year and is then deleted.

Your data is subject to additional computerized processing in an internal database of the Jean-Marie Lehn Foundation, with the purpose of collecting donations as part of its missions. The Foundation is responsible for its protection, ensures its security, and retains it for up to 10 years after the last processing. After this period, the data is deleted.

The Foundation’s database managers can view, modify, or delete your personal information at any time upon request via email to contact@fondation-lehn.fr or by postal mail to Fondation Jean-Marie Lehn, 8 allée Gaspard Monge, 67000 Strasbourg.

Your Rights Regarding Your Data

You can request a file containing all the personal data we hold about you, including the information you have provided. You can also request the deletion of your personal data. This does not include data stored for administrative, legal, or security reasons.

Transmission of Your Personal Data

Under no circumstances are your personal data transmitted to commercial companies.

However, your data may be shared with the Foundation’s sponsors:

  • Its academic founders: the University of Strasbourg, the CNRS, and all their components (faculties, institutes, schools, laboratories, centers, etc.).

The data transmitted is exclusively for the purposes of acknowledging and thanking you for your donation.

Your payment data (Name, first name, and donation amount) is shared with our bank as well as with yours if you choose to pay by credit card.

Procedures in Case of Data Breach

In the event of a data breach or hacking, a procedure is in place to alert you within a maximum of 72 hours. An email will be sent to you.

Automated Marketing and/or Profiling Operations Using Personal Data

Marketing or profiling operations may be carried out using data from this site. However, these operations are entirely anonymous and are conducted exclusively for the purposes of the Jean-Marie Lehn Foundation.
