« I completed all my higher education at the University of Strasbourg. I began with a degree in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with the aim of becoming a secondary school chemistry teacher. However, after completing a brilliant work placement in a lab, I decided to undertake a Master’s in Organic Chemistry.
During the course, I was supported by a grant from the Chemistry Research Foundation. The grant gave me financial independence for both years of my Master’s. As I was able to concentrate fully on my studies, I did really well both years and then received a doctoral grant from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research. I then completed my PhD on polymers in Strasbourg.
I’m now a post-doctoral research associate at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA, where I work on the chemistry of plastic polymers. »
