The ISIS institute is home to university laboratories and businesses that are at the interface between chemistry, physics and biology. The success of this new model produces exceptional international scientific distinctions: three Nobel Prizes in Chemistry, one Kavli prize (known familiarly as the Nobel prize of nanoscience) and many prestigious European grants and funding from the European Research Council.
Thierry Herning, Managing Director of BASF France, the world’s biggest chemistry group stated:
“BASF is proud to be involved with this place of exchange and creativity. Thanks to a branch of the ISIS institute’s industrial laboratory, every day we further our relations with researchers to help innovative solutions emerge more quickly, to keep up with what society expects.”
Currently, there is a strong increase in the demand to set up businesses and start-ups. To reinforce its role as a driving force in the economic development of many business sectors, the ISIS institute is expanding. This is a concrete opportunity for businesses and young researchers alike to join forces with the campus’s excellent research projects.
