Winners of the Chemistry Thesis Awards

Each year, the Foundation for Chemical Research honors doctoral students at the University of Strasbourg for their promising work in chemistry. The winners, selected by the doctoral school of chemistry, receive a prize of €1,500. This year, two winners stood out for the excellence of their dissertation work:

  • Dr. Shi GUO conducted research on “Combined phototherapies based on multifunctional 2D materials for the treatment of autoimmune diseases” under the supervision of Dr. A. Bianco (UPR 3572)
  • Dr. Viet Khoa TRAN NGUYEN conducted research on “The Development of Unbiased Datasets and New Methods for Virtual Screening” under the supervision of Dr. D. Rognan (UMR 7200)

These awards are funded by donations from our patrons, who are eager to support talented young researchers, as well as by the Foundation's own funds.
