The Jean-Marie Lehn Foundation is delighted to announce its partnership with Syensqo. Together with the CNRS and the University of Strasbourg, they will work on three research projects in the fields of sustainable and eco-friendly materials design and the synthesis of renewable and multifunctional molecules.

The Jean-Marie Lehn Foundation was established by the French government in 2007 to support the center of excellence in chemistry in Strasbourg, which is unique in France and internationally recognized. Its mission is to strengthen and promote this center, which brings together researchers from the University of Strasbourg and the CNRS, while intensifying its interactions with the business community to address major societal challenges.
A previous collaboration between Solvay and the Jean-Marie Lehn Foundation in 2016 helped fund seven research projects in Strasbourg. One of the projects resulting from these initiatives led to the development of an ultra-sensitive graphene-based strain sensor. This next-generation sensor is capable of detecting even the faintest heartbeats in real time when worn on the skin. These advances open up promising prospects in the field of connected health.
